Nirvana History

1986

A band from Seattle called Nirvana, began to draw attention of the producers of a small record label (Sub Pop). In June, the band formed by Kurt Cobain, Kris Novoselic and Chad Channing, recorded a single “Love Buzz” (cover of the group Socking Blues), the Sub Pop. Despite some problems, the single was a success. So they began to make a tour in alternative clubs and anti-commercial music of the band was well accepted by the public.

1989

The first album was titled, “Bleach.” It was recorded in a pace well alucinante due to the shows. The songs were composed a little before recording. After the band traveled the United States promoting the album and was able to win so many fans. At the end of this short tour, the band recorded an EP called “Blew”, launched only there. Along with the band Tad, the Nirvana went to Europe disclose his music. And one of the shows, was a producer of Geffen. Later, the group terminated the contract with Sup Pop and signed with Geffen. So the record label Sub Pop and much improved its financial situation.

1990

Before the launch of the new album, drummer Chad, was expelled by the band for musical differences and entered into its place Dave Grohl.

1991

In September, was released “Nevermind,” which became the first disc placement of stops. The band began to give several interviews and appeared in many TV broadcasts.

1992

With the tour rolling, the band was no time to launch new disc, and the record label released “Incesticide”, a collection of unpublished songs (side B).

1993

It was released “In Utero”, but the disc failed to the success of “Nevermind.” And with that the band started to face some problems of the type: new fans asking hits of success and the older fans believe that the band had been sold to the media. That year, Kurt undergone two overdoses. Kurt ended up becoming a pop idol, one of the things he most hated. He refused and tried to avoid being that kind of person, but said nothing.

1994

On April 5, Kurt Cobain trancou is in the room from the top of the garage of his mansion in Seattle and estourou the head with a shot. The body was found by an electrician on day 8. In the blood of the singer had been found a very large quantity of heroin. In November left in the acoustic disc made by Nirvana in New York in a program for MTV.

1996

Dave Grohl and Kris Novoselic decided to launch the “From the Muddy Banks Of The Whishkah”, a disc totally live and each song was written in a different city.
